Pup Cakes

Our fur babies deserve a great snack - one where you know what is in it.  Our dog food mix line is made with whole wheat flour, quick oats, and more - things that you know will be a good blend of ingredients for your favorite fur baby.  These pupcakes are fun when we are celebrating your fur baby.  This mix makes one dozen.  Comes with an icing recipe.

Even horses love our Pup cakes! A customer requested this cake be made using 2 Pup Cake mixes for her horse, Rex - Happy 27th Birthday, Rex!

Additional Ingredients:
Cake: 2 C Carrots (shredded), 3 Eggs, 1/2 C Unsweetened Applesauce
Icing: 8 oz Cream Cheese (low fat or fat free), softened, 1/2 C Unsweetened Applesauce

Directions: Preheat oven 350 deg - lightly grease muffin tin.

Mix carrots, applesauce, and eggs together, then blend with dry mix. If dough is too dry, add water a spoonful at a time. Bake for 20 - 25 minutes. Let cool completely.

Icing: Whip together ingredients until light and fluffy. Spoon frosting into pastry bag and pipe onto pupcakes, or spread with a knife. Store extra pupcakes in refrigerator or freezer and let come to room temperature before feeding to pups. ~
