If you are craving some jambalaya this is a great mix to purchase. You will add shrimp, chicken, andouille (or your favorite smoked sausage) if you desire - make it your own. This will make approximately 6 servings - all depends on what you add and how portion sizes.
Additional Ingredients: 1/2 lb. chopped peeled, deveined shrimp, 1/2 lb. boneless chicken thighs (diced), 1/2 lb. Andouille Sausage (or other smoked sausage), 1/2 C Diced Tomatoes, 3 tsp Worcestershire Sauce, 2 tsp Hot Sauce, 3 1/2 C Water
Directions: Combine in a bowl the shrimp, chicken and seasoning blend - toss to coat and set aside.
In a heavy, large pot over medium heat. Add tomatoes, bay leaves, Worcestershire and hot sauces. Stir in the mix and add the water, bring to a simmer, cover and reduce heat to low and cook until most of the liquid is absorbed and the rice is tender, about 15 - 20 minutes. Stir in the shrimp and chicken, and sausage. Cover and cook for 10 minutes longer. Turn off the heat and allow the jambalaya to continue to steam 10 minutes longer before serving. Remove Bay Leaves before serving.
